BlackRock is set to launch a more than $30 billion artificial intelligence investment fund with tech giant Microsoft to build data centers and energy projects to meet the growing demands caused by artificial intelligence.
The fund to be launched will be one of the largest investment instruments ever raised on “Wall Street”. The investment tool aims to address the incredible digital energy and infrastructure requirements to build AI products that are expected to face severe capacity bottlenecks in the coming years. The computing power of AI requires far more energy than previous technological innovations and has strained existing energy infrastructure.
